Zoey Tabin van Spall is a medical genetics graduate and project manager turned heritage jewellery entrepreneur who founded Aking Sinta Jewellery, the UK's first Filipino pride jewellery brand. Based in Manchester, England, she creates contemporary pieces that celebrate Filipino culture and empower the global diaspora to #TakeUpSpace.

With her passion for storytelling and meticulous attention to detail, Zoey transforms Filipino narratives into wearable art. Her collections—Capiz (Shell), Araw (Sun), Perlas (Pearls), Luntian (Green), and Bughaw (Blue)—tell authentic stories of Filipino identity, from revolutionary history to childhood memories of her Lolo and Lola's rice paddies and her family's agricultural heritage.

What began as a personal quest to reconnect with her roots has evolved into a thriving business that connects Filipinos worldwide to their heritage, proving that tradition and modernity can beautifully coexist. Her mission is simple: to remind every Filipino that they deserve to be unapologetically themselves, embrace their worth, and take up space in the world.

George Tabin van Spall is the steady force and unwavering rock behind Aking Sinta's mission. As Zoey's husband, Chief Financial Officer, personal chef, and sanity-keeper, he champions our heritage brand through unconditional support that allows our cultural storytelling to flourish.

From driving across the UK to connect with Filipino communities at Barrio Fiestas and other pop-up events, to packing orders and ensuring timely dispatch alongside his full-time job, George embodies what it means to be a true champion. He doesn't just support the business - he champions the mission, the culture, and the woman behind it all, taking on operational responsibilities that keep Aking Sinta running smoothly.

Whether he's navigating the roads from Manchester to London, managing the financial backbone of the company, carefully packing heritage jewellery for customers, or simply being the steady presence that keeps everything grounded, George proves that being a champion means showing up completely, unconditionally, and with love.
